EGUI (Enhanced Graphical User Interface) is an extension to GUI created by Sevion. It adds GUI actions for several Jass and vJass systems and functions, making the GUI users be able to use them directly from the GUI instead of using the Custom Script action. This makes the usage easier and less error-prone.

EGUI Background

EGUI started as the result of a conversation between Sevion and Burningicce9 back in 2007. The original design was created via a custom Blizzard.j; however, this proved cumbersome. Thus, EGUI was ported into having individual libraries to be copied into the end map. EGUI has many new things to add to GUI including UMSWE. EGUI started as a quick little efficiency booster for GUI and ended up turning into a full on project. EGUI was worked on by both Sevion and Burningicce9, but since then, Burningicce9 has been MIA. Any last communications between the two were last in August of '09. Since then, Sevion has been working on and off with EGUI implementing very few new things and he has been updating the systems. EGUI has grown out of maintenance, but that is hoped to be changed.
